If you’re reading this post, you’ve probably found us through the re-designed front page. We liked our “classic” look - we really did. But we’ve had a number of things we wanted to fix and then there were a few more things then one day we looked in the mirror and just said “Enough!”

Think of it as the digital equivalent of a bad hair day. Sometimes you just reach for the scissors.

Anyway, we hope you like the new look and the easier “on ramps” to the content being put out there by the community. Expect to see a few more changes over the next few weeks as get the site fully up to speed. As always, we’d love to get your comments, opinions, suggestions and random profanity.

In today’s world of John Stewarts, Cross-Fires, Michael Moores, and and every other verbally violent political view, its always nice to read an interview with someone who depicts honesty through art and storytelling. Take a glance at this in-depth piece on Frank Miller and his ups and downs in Hollywood. … it’s a burrito?

Ok, I know I’m mixing up my references here, but this story about an overly inebriated Captain America knock-off deserved mention. He’s pictured above doing his perp walk (oh Cap!).

On first read, the whole idea just seemed bizarre… when I realized the incident took place in Florida, it started to make sense.  And who knows?  Maybe it will give the creative types down at Marvel some bold new ideas.

Back to work at Zeros 2 Heroes…

Although we’ve been in our new quarters for just about a week, it was only tonite that we could actually get (most of) the gang together for an *official* office warming. Which was, in a word, really great. OK, that’s two words.

Also joining us were our hosts with the most, Warren Franklin and Paul Gertz from that amazingly great company known as Rainmaker Entertainment.

Here they are officially cutting the official ribbon to officially open our new offices. It was emotional.

As of today, we’re 100 days back from the epic San Diego Comic-Con (mark it on your calendars). Our teams are starting to come together and prepare for the day.

Here you can see Brian and Scott going over the maps while I look on wisely. Of course.

Believe it or not, we actually do work at Zeros 2 Heros… even on the weekends.

The image below is from a card sorting exercise we’ve been going through to develop some new marketing materials.  It’s been a bit of an extended process, but you’ll be seeing the results at various comic conventions this summer.

We’ll post some previews of the finished products when they’re ready.

16 straight hours of lugging furniture out, cleaning, shopping, loading and unloading car, huffing plants and boxes up to the top floor and then assembling file cabinets, drawers, desks, hanging whiteboards and picture frames… (not to mention working by cell phone light after 11pm when the auto timer for the building shut the overhead lights off!) But it was all worth it. The new office is gorgeous, the view is “super terrific number 1″, and it has that shiny “new office” smell. I’m sure the novelty will wear off eventually and I’ll stop being so concerned about the pencils holders being perpendicular to the staplers on all the desks (yes, I’m one of those people ;-)) but for now it still feels pretty cool to finally be in a real home!

I’m sure our president will have something more profound to say later when we post the official office warming photos, but for now, here are some before and after pics for ya’ll to revel in…
