Okay so I just about drowned in a hot tub so bear with me… I got the following running through my head. Did you ever see Conan: The Barbarian? Remember the scene where Conan is about to have this big battle out by the mounds against Thusla Doom’s men? Conan has this great saying which is then capped off with this wonderful soundtrack that just blasts by Basil Poledouris — Battle of the Mounts Part 1. Here is the saying:
Conan: Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, and why we died. All that matters is that today, two stood against many. Valor pleases you, so grant me this one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, the HELL with you!
That is the scene / song I hear in my head while I am going through the last bits and pieces to get Abigail’s War completed tonight.
The end is near. It is as if, we are on the cliff overlooking the end of all the hard work that has gone into Abigail’s War. From the early review, discussions of the script to the Vision Document with Jennica Harper, really simple thumbnails by myself, pencils (and inks in our case), colours (painted) by Sandrine Replat and then the lettering by Ed Brisson. Now the fun begins for Zeros2Heroes getting everything tech-wise all setup and lovely! Good luck!
Sandrine is now working on a wrap-around full colour painted cover which I expect to be brilliant!
Now speaking of soundtracks, here is the soundtrack from the Abigail’s War Vision Document which Jennica had written up early in development. This will give you a good idea as to the theme and ambiance of the book that I think everyone has worked so hard to create. Enjoy…

Of all the CCCN winners, this is the book I am most looking forward to (with one notable exception) and the very first one I intend to read!
