“This is the end, my friend,
the end, my friend, the end.
I hope to see you again, my friend,
again, my friend, again…”
- Hello The End by Alex Lloyd
Hiya everyone,
I have good and sad news to pass along. Gustav Hayes: Lounge Singer of the Apocalypse is all done. All pencils, all inks, all colors and all lettering. This is great news but I have to say that I am sad that now it is over. It was a wonderful, great experience but now that it is all over, I am kinda weepy. I did get a tear in my eye when I realized that the book was done.
Here are some shots of the final lettered pages
Also I asked Morgan Jeske if he had some final last words:
Thank you to Matt & Jessica and everyone involved at Z2H. A huge thanks to Robert J. Parizek the Editor for GH. A special thanks to Will Gibson for tweaking those early pages while Gustav was still “in the womb”—whoa, creepy. Cristian Valdes, Daniel BradfordChris Studabaker for their great work on the Colors, Pencils & Inks and Lettering respectively. You guys dialed the ZA-POWWW!! to ELEVEN in a big way. and
Enjoy the first Issue of Gustav Hayes: Lounge Singer of the Apocalypse!
Thanks,
Morgan Jeske
Thanks to all involved especially Morgan Jeske who was a blast to work with on the book and Julian Lawrence who gave the book plus me a great deal of guidance & support!
Also don’t think this is the last of Gustav Hayes. I have seen the scripts for issues #2 & #3 and they are just amazing! I see a future for Gustav Hayes: Lounge Singer of the Apocalypse!
Cheers,
Robert

I’m crazy excited about this. You have no idea.
And I sorta love that the vague Prince reference stayed in. More or less.
Where do we see this bad boy in its entirety?

That is very cryptic, Robert, but very intriguing — can’t wait to hear the wonderful news!
